Good product, got what I paid for. Controllers pair well with the Switch OLED dock colour so my setup looks clean. Much bigger than stock joycons (which for my big hands are a problem!) The good: - Really comfortable, especially compared to the joycons. Sticks are nice and big, buttons click satisfyingly, and I love the trigger pulls on it (feels just like a pro controller). - Has vibration and at least SOME gyro capabilities (unlike competitors like the HORIs) and also work wirelessly, so I don't have to fork out for a nicer TV controller. The OK: - No HD rumble. Not expected from a 3rd party alternative. - OK material quality. It's clearly made out of a cheaper plastic, which is fine -- they're durable feeling enough, but may not survive a drop, The bad: - Nitpicky, but the LED colour settings reset after a day or two of not using the controllers. I don't like the lights very bright, but they keep resetting, annoying. - Cradle that comes with the kit has very poor QC.
The controller functions appropriately and has worked pretty well so far. One of my complaints is that the right-side rail slot of the plastic middle piece for connecting the two controllers together was a bit too tight for the right controller's rails to slide in, which made it almost impossible to connect it to the controller. I had to dismantle it and use sandpaper on the inner surface of the slot to allow the controller to actually fit inside of it. I'm guessing it was just a defect. There was also an instance when I had a very brief wireless connection issue where my analog stick movements and button inputs were slightly delayed. It only lasted for a few seconds and only happened once so far; I don't know precisely what caused it, but I hope this isn't going to be a reoccurring issue. Other than those two things, everything has been going great with this controller. It feels a little bit cheaper than regular Joy-Cons but looks a lot cooler. I'd say it's mostly worth the money.
